GREELEY, Colo. -- Chance Gusbeth hit a three-run home runs in the seventh and eighth innings and Soloman Williams also homered twice to power Cal State Bakersfield to a 19-7 Western Athletic Conference baseball win over Northern Colorado.

The Roadrunners (19-26 overall, 11-9 WAC) finished with 21 hits, the second-most in a game in the program's six-season history.

Ben Lively kept his unbeaten record intact Friday as the Bakersfield Blaze held on for an 8-6 victory over the Modesto Nuts in a California League baseball game at John Thurman Field.

Lively's scoreless streak ended at 31 innings when he allowed two seventh-inning runs. In 6-2/3 innings, he struck out eight and walked just one in running his record to 6-0. He left the game with a 6-2 lead before Modesto (9-20) rallied with two runs in each of the seventh and eighth innings.

The Liberty girls swimming team, led by senior Audrey Willoughby's four first-place finishes, beat Centennial on Friday at McMurtrey Aquatic Center with a 100-70 win to go undefeated in the Southwest Yosemite League.

Willoughby finished first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.54), 100 butterfly (1:03.64) and helped the Patriots to wins in the 200 free relay (1:47.95) and a season-best time in the 200 medley relay (2:00.10).

GREELEY, Colo. -- Senior left-hander Taylor Aikenhead pitched a complete game and won his team-best sixth game of the season Friday afternoon to lead Cal State Bakersfield to a 7-3 Western Athletic Conference baseball win at Northern Colorado.

Aikenhead allowed 10 hits and two walks and didn't have a 1-2-3 inning until the ninth.
